It`s been a while, but I can explain. Honest!

I am in Japan right now with limited internet access.

..Yeah. I`m hanging out with the only Japanese person who lives in Ann Arbor. YOU`LL NEVER GUESS WHO. I`ll be here until Saturday, but honestly, while Tokyo was a little drab (and a fucking oven of a city), Akihabara....oh god, NERD HEAVEN. Arcades, geek merchandise....perfection.

Also, as I looked around, I came to a stark realization that I will most likely be buying all of your souvenirs here. The weeaboos I put up with...speaking of which, I learned the hard way that Japan has a very difficult language barrier to overcome. Thank god Akio is with me, otherwise I would honestly be dead. Watching anime does NOT teach Japanese, kids!

But yeah, shit went down in Korea too but I can talk about that later because right now I`m too busy geeking out. Hit me up on FB or AIM if you want anything from Japan and/or Korea, although I will have no internet for the majority of my stay.

Sorry Guys, I'm Still Alive

At least half of you probably lost a bet already. Again, I am sorry for your lots.

You probably won't get any of the references I make. This is the first of many.

Anyways, I made it to South Korea in one piece! I already miss you ladies and gents back home, although I'm sure I'll be talking to plenty of you via Skype and/or AIM often (JustVisiting03 is the name). I'm staying at my Granny's apartment, which is pretty huge, albeit somewhat messy, and I'll probably be seeing the majority of my relatives sometime this week. I'm actually kind of excited to meet all of these people, although my inability to speak my native language will probably make it difficult to communicate with them. 

The flight was...pretty bizarre. I don't whether or not it was bad, mainly because I was tired beyond disbelief but I don't think I've ridden anything that luxurious possibly ever. I flew from Detroit --> Chicago straight to Korea for a total of 15 hours. The trip to Chicago was basically a standard, boring flight, but the plane that took me to Korea was CRAZY. I've never flown overseas before (Actually my first time leaving the country), so the quality of the seats bundled with a personal TV for all passengers, complimentary blankets, and decent food came as a shock to me. In the words of arguably the biggest thugchump I've EVER met, I mentally yelled "OHHHHHH MYYYYYY, WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW".

Then I realized that I left my copy of Les Miserables in the overhead.

Then I realized that the plane did not offer Wi-Fi (What laptop?)

Then I realized that the movies looped over and over (I watched the same AFV clips maybe three times before I caught on) and that I was stuck with that and an iPod for 14 HOURS.

Given, free sleep time was awesome, but when we arrived I was practically jumping up and down in anticipation. I did enjoy watching Diary of a Wimpy Kid twice though, and my love for Humphrey Bogart has gone up quite a bit. The man has QUITE the voice. Honestly,

I have a couple of other things to say, but I already hate blogging now, so I'll just stop for now. I will say that South Korea really isn't that different from the US from what I've seen, but you know Nick Frost? That guy in Shawn of the Dead/Hot Fuzz? The fat best friend type? Yeah, it's about as humid as his buttcrack over here.

...and the three or five people who read this are collectively regretting their decision to do so.
